Fifth of July Screenprint

On the fifth of July, 1946, French designer Louis Reard unveiled a two-piece swimsuit at the Piscine Molitor, a popular swimming pool in Paris. This daring new fashion, dubbed the bikini, was named after the U.S. atomic bomb tests off the coast of Bikini Atoll earlier that week.
